Bio-based reusable bottleThe sugar cane used to produce our bottles is grown in Brazil and concentrated in the country’s south region, located more than 2,500 km from the Amazon region. Brazilian sugarcane is highly efficient in terms of water consumption, with 95% irrigated naturally by rainfall. Just 0.02% of the country’s arable land is used for I’m greenTM Polyethylene and with every 100.000 tons produced, nearly 500.000 tons of CO2 is reduced worldwide.
Environmentally friendly water bottle next levelOur environmentally friendly water bottle is produced in Wolverhampton, not too far from Staffordshire, so we cut down on heavy transport between the two locations. In order to guarantee hygiene every load is fitted with tamper evident seals that are removed on arrival and samples are taken from every batch and sent to a UKAS accredited laboratory for testing.
As Bottle Up expands to more locations across Europe, we will make sure to replicate the same production process in each country: local partners working close together to reduce transport costs and our impact on the environment.
